Have you picked up any good beauty products lately?

OnyxBox Glam Unboxing

*content contains press sample

We Are Onyx is a website specifically dedicated to Black women and they now have their own beauty subscription service. The new OnyxBox Glam is a beauty subscription in which you get 4 full or deluxe size products and you get to pick the fifth item. Unlike other beauty boxes dedicated to Black women, this box sends more than haircare. They also include makeup, skincare, and lifestyle products. I was sent the April box for review. Check out the video below to see my initial thoughts on what I received!

Happy New Year!

Today marks the first day of 2014 and signifies a fresh start for all of us. I pray that 2014 is your best year ever! Happy New Year!

I’m sorry that I haven’t made any regular blog posts lately (just videos), but there are some in the works. I’m still testing a few things that I want to blog about!

Check out my 2013 Beauty Favorites and my Randomly Ayesha Update video below.

December 2013 Favorites

This year has really flown by! January seems like it was just a few months ago. I definitely wanted to do a favorites for the last month of the year, so check my video out below!

What beauty products did you use and abuse in December?

My Puff Tutorial

I am not very good with hair styling. I know how to take care of my hair, but that is pretty much it. I can’t do exotic, unique styling to it. The puff is pretty much the extent of styling that I can do. It is super easy, but I always get compliments when I wear it. This video was requested, so I decided to show you how I do my puff. Enjoy!

My Straight Hair

I got my hair done, finally! Last time my hair was done by someone other than me was back in May 2012. Needless to say, I was long overdue! My stylist trimmed about 1 inch of my bad ends off. She also colored, blow-dried, and flat-ironed me. This process took about 4 hours. I like the results and I’m surprised by my length! My hair has never, ever been this long before!

The 1st picture is when I originally got all my relaxed ends cut off. The 2nd picture is my most recent trim. Please excuse the wildness in the 2nd picture, it was a very windy day!

I feel such a sense of accomplishment when I finish a product, don’t you? I made a video showing you some products that I have used up recently and giving a mini review on each. Take a look if you’re interested!

Are there any products you’ve used up recently? Would you repurchase? Why or why not?

Staple Hair Product Review Series: Shea Moisture Curl & Style Milk

I know it’s been a minute since my last staple hair product review, but I was trying to wait until I repurchased this product. I still don’t actually have this product in my stash, but I wanted to get this review out of the way. I still love it, I’m just trying to use up some of my other products.

Shea Moisture Curl & Style Milk is a conditoner that can be used on wet or dry hair. I use it to refresh my hair when I think it needs a little moisture. It retails for $10-$11 and can be purchased at Walgreens or Target.

Braid Out Experiment

I decided to try a braid out after seeing how gorgeous Makeupanbeautyjunkie’s was on YouTube. (Click here to check her video out). I wasn’t 100% pleased with the results, but I didn’t hate them either. I will say that the later it got in the day after I took the braids out, the better I liked it. Take a look at my latest shopaHAULism post if you would like to see what it looked like by the end of that day. The video below shows how I achieved my first braid out using Qhemet Biologics Alma & Olive Heavy Cream.

What are some of your tips to getting a fluffy (not frizzy) braid out?
