Since I started wearing makeup, I have always been a nude lip kinda girl. I feel like a nude lip can go perfectly with any look and be dressed up or down. Because of that, I’m always trying different nude lip options. I’m pretty happy with the ones that I currently own, so I wanted to share my top nude lip essentials with you!Continue reading “My Nude Lip Essentials”
So yeah, I have a lipstick hoarding problem… Actually, if I’m being completely honest, I have a makeup hoarding problem! I go through my makeup every 6 months or so, but for some reason, my lippies have been getting overlooked. I guess since I had so many of them, it seemed too overwhelming to go through. About a week or two ago, I decided to bite the bullet and get rid of a lot of my lip products. What you see in the above picture is about 3/4 of the lip products that I started with (lipsticks, liners, glosses, and chapsticks included). NARS has been one of my favorite brands for awhile now, so when I saw that they were coming out with new liquid lipsticks (finally!), I had to try them! The NARS Powermatte Lip Pigments launched a little over a month ago with 20 shades ranging from nudes to black! There were so many colors that I wanted to try, but I narrowed it down to 5. If you want to know what I thought of them, keep reading!
Colourpop recently added a new product to their line, the Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks. These lipsticks are right on trend with the rest of the beauty industry right now. They go on as a liquid, but dry to a very matte opaque lip. They are also cheaper than most of their counterparts at only $6 each. I picked up 10 of these to test out for you all. Every year, Sephora teams up with the color experts, Pantone, to create beauty products featuring the Color of the Year. The Color of the Year for 2015 is Marsala, “an earthy red wine”. When I saw the collection they were coming out with, I was immediately drawn to the nude lip collection pictured above. Keep reading to see if the Marsala Layering Lip Collection lived up to my expectations.
NARS recently released a huge line of lipsticks with a brand new formulation that has been getting a lot of buzz in the beauty community. This range boasts 40 shades that promise long lasting, full impact color all while giving a luxurious feel to the lips. Sounds great, but for $32 each, are they worth it? I purchased 3 shades to test out so that I could let you know!
***This post was supposed to go up last Friday, but I was out of town and didn’t get a chance to post it until today. I still wanted to share this with you because I think it is a product that a lot of people want to know more about. Sorry that it is late, but I hope you enjoy. Isn’t she a beauty? If nothing else, Dior never fails to impress in the packaging department! The new Dior Addict Fluid Sticks are described as being between a gloss and a lipstick. I purchased the shade Rieuse (373).
Loreal recently released 2 new types of lipstick, the LaLaque and the LeMatte. These new lip products are thinner than the average jumbo lip pencil and are pretty much the size of a crayon. The LaLaque range is a shiny, pigmented lip color. While the LeMatte range is a matte version. They released a total of 8 shades (4 of each), and I purchased 6 of them. Keep reading for my thoughts and lip swatches!
