Hit or Miss Monday: Covergirl The Super Sizer Mascara

Remember my “Weekly Hit or Miss” posts? It was one of my favorite types of posts so I’m disappointed that I didn’t keep up with it. Now, I will try to do them on Mondays because that seems to be a better time for me to make sure I get it done. It’s not that I’m not trying products, but I just never seem to get pictures and posts done by Friday. Hopefully I can better keep up with it this time!¬†

This past week I have been trying out a new mascara that Covergirl sent to me to try (see full disclosure HERE), the Super Sizer Mascara. I’m not usually a fan of Covergirl mascaras, not because they are bad, I just am never attracted to them. Keep reading to find out if the Super Sizer Mascara was a hit or miss for me!

Weekly Hit or Miss: Covergirl truMagic Skin Perfector

Welcome to the first blog post in my new “Weekly Hit or Miss” series. These posts will mainly focus on items that don’t require much detail (i.e. lipstick, new drugstore items, etc) and don’t necessarily warrant a video or full review. I will try to do these every Friday as long as I have a product that fits the bill.

First Impression: Covergirl Queen All Day Flawless 3 in 1 Foundation

The other day I posted a video on YouTube giving my first impression of the new Covergirl Queen All Day Flawless 3 in 1 foundation. I used the shade Q820 Toffee. Take a look at the video below if you’re interested.

Pros:

  • inexpensive
  • wide range of shades
  • easily accessible
  • convenient, hygenic packaging
  • medium coverage
  • does not make skin oily
  • long lasting

Cons:

  • accentuated my dry spots (probably won’t be an issue for oilier skin)
  • gave me a flat, matte look (again, this shouldn’t be an issue for my oily ladies)

Overall, this foundation is nice, but I don’t think it is the best fit for me. I do think it would work well for ¬†oily skin. I may put this one away until summer when my skin is more oily to see if I like it more.

Have you tried this foundation? How did it work out for you?
