It’s time for me to share my monthly favorites with you again! This month I had quite a few items that got my attention that I couldn’t wait to share with you. Check out the video at the top of this post and/or read a brief description of all the items below! Also, if you want to see swatches, make sure to watch the video.
Lancome recently released a foundation in a unique type of packaging. The new Lancome Miracle Cushion Foundation is a liquid foundation that comes in a compact. There is a sponge like material (or cushion) that is basically holding the liquid in place. This foundation is supposed to be lightweight, hydrating, and brightening. It also has the benefit of being very portable due to it being in a compact. I decided to give this product a try in the shade 450 Suede N. Check out the video below to see how it fared!
Is the Lancome Miracle Cushion Foundation something you would be interested in trying?
I love trying new foundations and letting you all know about them! Today, the foundation that I reviewed is the new MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation in the shade NC45. I really wanted to try this one out because it claimed to be lightweight, long wearing, and waterproof. If you would like to see how it lived up to those claims, check out the video below!
Would you like me to do some sort of foundation round-up where I talk about my foundation collection? If so, leave me a comment as to how you would like to see that done!
I’m finally back with another beauty post! If you have followed my blog for awhile, I’m sure you know that foundation is one of my favorite makeup items to test out. The Dior Diorskin Nude Air Serum Foundation* was recently released and it caught my eye so I decided to try it out for you. So far, the only Dior foundation that I’ve tried is the Dior Diorskin Nude Foundation, and that is one of my very favorite foundations so I figured that this one would probably work well for me too. I picked up this foundation in the same shade, 050 Dark Beige. Keep reading if you would like to see what I thought as a first impression on this foundation!
NARS recently released a new foundation, the All Day Luminous Weightless foundation. I decided to try it in the shade Cadiz, which is also my shade in the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation. With this foundation, NARS promises full & natural looking coverage that lasts up to 16 hours. Not only that, but they also claim that the foundation will do this with only 1 drop and still have a lightweight feel on the skin. I’ve been testing this foundation out for about 2 weeks and I am ready to share my thoughts with you so if you’re interested, keep reading.
Sephora recently released a new foundation, the Teint Infusion Foundation. As soon as I saw it, I knew that it was supposed to be similar to the recent liquid to powder foundations that a few high end brands have been releasing lately (i.e. YSL Fusion Ink, Lancome Nude Miracle, etc.). The one that I have tried and liked as been the Lancome Nude Miracle Foundation so I wanted to see how this new Sephora foundation measured up. If you’re interested in hearing my thoughts, watch the video below!
Have you tried any of the new liquid to powder, barely-there foundations? If so, what is your favorite?
Every year, Sephora teams up with the color experts, Pantone, to create beauty products featuring the Color of the Year. The Color of the Year for 2015 is Marsala, “an earthy red wine”. When I saw the collection they were coming out with, I was immediately drawn to the nude lip collection pictured above. Keep reading to see if the Marsala Layering Lip Collection lived up to my expectations.
In my most recent haul, I picked up a new foundation, Lancome Nude Miracle. This foundation is a Sephora exclusive (for now at least) that promises a weightless feel and bare-matte finish. It is one of the new liquid to powder foundations that it seems like all the brands are starting to come out with. If you would like to see how it looks and find out my initial thoughts, check out the video below!
For reference, my other foundation shades are as follows:
Make Up For Ever Face & Body: 12
Smashbox Studio Skin: 4.1
Diorskin Nude: 050
NARS Sheer Glow: Cadiz
YSL Youth Liberator: B70
Buxom Show Some Skin: Caramel Kisses
Guerlain Lingerie De Peau: 24
MAC Face & Body: N7
Have you tried any of the new liquid to powder foundations? How did they work for you?
NARS recently released a huge line of lipsticks with a brand new formulation that has been getting a lot of buzz in the beauty community. This range boasts 40 shades that promise long lasting, full impact color all while giving a luxurious feel to the lips. Sounds great, but for $32 each, are they worth it? I purchased 3 shades to test out so that I could let you know!
Facial exfoliating products are one of those items in my skin care routine that I change up on a pretty regular basis. I’m always on the hunt for the perfect one. Some tend to be too harsh, while others seem like they don’t do anything for my skin. For that reason (plus the super cute packaging), when Buff Her House of Exfoliation contacted me about trying out one of their products, I jumped at the opportunity. Buff Her specializes in exfoliators made from naturally, organically grown, fruits and vegetables. The one that I was sent, Milk & Honey only has 5 ingredients [Whole Dry (Milk) Powder, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Powder, (Honey) Maltodextrin, Honey Powder]! Although I was sent this product for review, I hope you all know that I always give my honest opinion! Check out my disclosure for more information. If you would like to find out my thoughts on the Milk & Honey Exfoliator, keep reading!
