Today’s face of the day is perfect for summer. I wore this look out for an early dinner and drinks with my husband. For this look, I pulled out some old faves and mixed them with some new products. To see what I used, keep reading!
Quite a few of you told me you would like to see more makeup tutorials from me, but they take a long time to prepare for and film, so I decided to throw some of these Face of the Day posts in the mix. This way, you can see all the products I’m using, you just won’t actually see them in action. It also gives me a chance to express my thoughts on certain products. Let me know what you think of these types of posts. Keep reading for pictures and products!
Who says you can’t wear red lips during the day? Don’t listen to them. Red lipstick can make otherwise boring makeup pop. If you would like to know my tips on how to keep it casual and rock a red lip, then keep reading!
A few posts back, I posted some swatches of some new MAC purchases. One of those purchases was the new Viva Glam Nicki 2 lipstick. (Click HERE to see that post). This shade is probably one of the hardest to wear shades I own. Because I knew it would be a popular item, I decided to try it even though it is not the type of shade I typically go for. It is a very pale lavender that leans closer to white than purple. For all of the MAC Viva Glam products, 100% of the proceeds go to MAC’s AIDS foundation so I felt like it was worthy of my money. Keep reading to see a few ways to make this shade more wearable.
I like seeing holiday themed makeup looks, so I decided to create one. This look easy and perfect for Valentine’s Day night or for any date night. Personally, my husband doesn’t like super flashy makeup, so I wanted to do a look that was more “natural.” Keep reading for more pictures and a step by step video!
I love bright lipstick! Everytime I wear something bright on my lips, I feel happier and more pretty! I know, lame but true. Today’s look is showcasing Candy Yum Yum by MAC. This look can be done with any lip color, but I really wanted to show just how wearable CYY can be. Keep reading for more pictures and a video tutorial!
I got my hair done, finally! Last time my hair was done by someone other than me was back in May 2012. Needless to say, I was long overdue! My stylist trimmed about 1 inch of my bad ends off. She also colored, blow-dried, and flat-ironed me. This process took about 4 hours. I like the results and I’m surprised by my length! My hair has never, ever been this long before!
The 1st picture is when I originally got all my relaxed ends cut off. The 2nd picture is my most recent trim. Please excuse the wildness in the 2nd picture, it was a very windy day!
That’s it! I just wanted to keep you all up on how my natural hair journey is going!
This is the time of year when you can get away with being “overdone.” By that I mean that you can go all out with makeup, hair, accessories, and clothing. One way to add that extra flair for the holidays is by going sparkly. Glitter and sequins are major this time of the year. I went to a Christmas party last weekend and decided to partake in the glittery madness going on. Keep scrolling for pictures and a video showing how I got this look!
I really like brown smokey eyes! They are simple, sultry, and appropriate for day or night. Also, you can wear pretty much any lip color you want with a brown smokey eye. Keep reading for more pictures and a video on how I got this look.
I told you that I couldn’t wait to experiment with the Urban Decay Vice Palette. I decided to create a look using 2 colors that interested me the most: Chaos and Blitz. Keep reading for more pictures and a tutorial!
