The drugstore has been on fire lately with the new releases! All the major brands have been coming out with new stuff and there have been a few items to pique my interest. I initially planned on separately reviewing all the items I picked up, but I decided to put them together in the form of a video because it was easier for me and I figured it may be more helpful for you! Don’t worry, I will eventually get back to writing blog posts independent of my videos, but for now I hope you enjoy the videos!
Have you checked out any of the new drugstore releases? Were they hits or misses?
So far 2015 has been the year of the brow and the year of the liquid lipstick. It seems that every makeup brand has been coming out or improving upon these products in their line. NYX is no exception, they recently released quite a few brow products. I was interested in trying their brow pencil and brow pomade. Keep reading to find out if these products were a hit or miss!
Remember my “Weekly Hit or Miss” posts? It was one of my favorite types of posts so I’m disappointed that I didn’t keep up with it. Now, I will try to do them on Mondays because that seems to be a better time for me to make sure I get it done. It’s not that I’m not trying products, but I just never seem to get pictures and posts done by Friday. Hopefully I can better keep up with it this time!
This past week I have been trying out a new mascara that Covergirl sent to me to try (see full disclosure HERE), the Super Sizer Mascara. I’m not usually a fan of Covergirl mascaras, not because they are bad, I just am never attracted to them. Keep reading to find out if the Super Sizer Mascara was a hit or miss for me!
I know I’ve been MIA and I’m sorry! The truth is I want to post more, but I have so much to do for my new home that it is taking up all of my free time. As we speak, I’m still surrounded by boxes! So, it may be a little while before I’m able to post regularly again, but I hope you understand. Anyway, this week I tried the new Sally Hansen Miracle Gel System in Pink Cadillaquer. Keep reading to find out if it was a hit or miss!
As soon as I saw the new Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain, I immediately thought of my beloved YSL Glossy Stains. I decided to just try one of these in the shade London Posh. Prior to purchasing this product, I really didn’t have any previous knowledge on it. Keep reading to find out if it was a hit or miss for me!
***This post was supposed to go up last Friday, but I was out of town and didn’t get a chance to post it until today. I still wanted to share this with you because I think it is a product that a lot of people want to know more about. Sorry that it is late, but I hope you enjoy. Also, check out the Lip Product Addict Tag Video that I did below the review on the Dior Fluid Sticks.***
Isn’t she a beauty? If nothing else, Dior never fails to impress in the packaging department! The new Dior Addict Fluid Sticks are described as being between a gloss and a lipstick. I purchased the shade Rieuse (373).
As soon as I saw the promo picture for this item, I knew I had to have it. The new Becca Beach Tint Shimmer Souffles are a combination of two of their best selling products; the Beach Tints and the Shimmering Skin Perfectors. From the outside, they have a marbled appearance of color and shimmer. They really remind me of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes upon first glance. These little pots are supposed to do magic, check out the description from Sephora below.
“This lightweight formula packs four must-have qualities into one formula: a powder to add a pop of color, a stain to give staying power, an illuminating highlighter, and a cream to deliver a flawless finish. Water-resistant, each pot combines Becca’s bestselling Beach Tint with a Shimmering Skin Perfector™ for effortlessly buildable, complexion-enhancing color, soothing hydration, and a youthful glow.”
A couple of months ago, The Balm added another illuminating powder to their lineup. If you are familiar with The Balm Cosmetics, I’m sure you know that some of their most popular products are the “Lou-Manizer’s”. Pretty much every beauty blogger I know owns either Mary Lou-Manizer or Betty Lou-Manizer if not both. Little sister, Cindy Lou-Manizer is the newest addition that is marketed as a blush and subtle highlight. So how does it work on deeper skin? Keep reading if you would like to find out!
Laura Mercier’s Foundation Primer has been around forever, but she recently released a Radiance Bronze version that preps the skin for foundation while adding a sunlit glow. Keep reading to see if this product is worthwhile!
In my last haul video (click HERE to see that post), one of the items I was excited to try was the new Sephora Rouge Infusion 10 Hour Lip Stain. I was really excited to try this product because Sephora makes one of my favorite lip stain formulas (reviewed HERE and swatched HERE) and I figured this would be just as good. According to Sephora, Rouge Infusion is supposed to provide lightweight but intense color payoff for up to 10 hours. Keep reading to see if Rouge Infusion lives up to its claims!
