Happy Friday! In lieu of a written review, today I’m sharing with you a video from my Youtube channel. Check it out below!

I am a Tom Ford Fragrance Fan! I know that the brand doesn’t sit well with everyone, but it is one of my favorite fragrance houses. Metallique was released last year and after testing it out in a store, I decided to purchase it. I’ve had it now for almost a year so I think it’s time for a review!Continue reading “Fragrance Friday #17 | Tom Ford Metallique EDP”
Happy Friday! No fragrance review today, but I do want to share one of my recent fragrance videos. Check it out!
Today’s Fragrance Friday is all about Mancera’s Aoud Lemon Mint. Mancera markets Aoud Lemon Mint as a unisex fragrance inspired by a Cuban fresh and sweet cocktail! I personally love the smell of mint (especially in a cocktail), so I thought this may be a great pickup for the summer.
Unfortunately, Mancera fragrances are not sold anywhere near me, so a couple of months ago, I ordered this as a “blind buy”. Keep reading to see what I think of it!Continue reading “Fragrance Friday #16 | Mancera Aoud Lemon Mint”
Sol de Janeiro recently released their first perfume, Sol Cheirosa ’62. If you have been a long time follower, you may know that I love the scent of their Brazilian Bum Bum Cream. Well guess what? This perfume has the same scent, so therefore I had to pick it up! Keep reading to see what I think!Continue reading “Fragrance Friday #15 | Sol de Janeiro Sol Cheirosa ’62”
With every thing going on right now, I’ve been spending a lot of time at home lately. With that being said, I’ve been wearing fragrances that give me a little comfort! The one that I’ll be reviewing today is Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Cafe.Continue reading “Fragrance Friday #14 | Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Cafe EDT”
This has been a very busy week for me so I didn’t get a chance to write a fragrance review for this week’s Fragrance Friday. In lieu of a review, I decided to share my latest YouTube video (about fragrance) with you here on the blog. Check it out and let me know if you have tried any of these!
Any other chocolate lovers out there? If so, today’s fragrance is for you! Geneva Chocolate by Layered Fragrances is the feature of today’s Fragrance Friday. Let’s get into it!Continue reading “Fragrance Friday #13 | Layered Fragrances Geneva Chocolate EDP”
I’m back with another Fragrance Friday! I took last week off because I had friends in town, but this week we are back on track! Today’s Fragrance Friday features a niche perfume from the house of Serge Lutens, Un Bois Vanille.
I purchased Un Bois Vanille a couple of months ago when I was on the hunt for the “perfect vanilla”. Vanilla is one of my favorite notes in perfume because it is soothing and comforting. It typically provides warmth to many fragrances. Although this is definitely a vanilla fragrance, it has lots of notes to it! The top notes are almond, coconut, honey, and licorice. The middle notes are benzoin, vanilla, and guaiac wood. The base notes are musk, sandalwood, and tonka bean.
To my nose, this smells like a sweet vanilla that is balanced out by woody notes. I absolutely love the sweetness of the vanilla, but because of the woody notes, it is not overly sweet. I feel very comforted when I get a whiff of this fragrance! This vanilla based fragrance has some depth and complexity to it that makes it stand out.
On me, this fragrance lasts at least 7-8 hours. It is not one that I have received many compliments on, but when I wear it, I catch little whiffs of it all day long. It honestly makes me feel really cozy.
Overall, I am really happy with Serge Lutens Un Bois Vanille and it has sparked my interest in some other fragrances from the house. I would recommend this if you are looking for a classic vanilla that is not so basic. I also think that it is a good stepping stone into the world of niche fragrances (due to it’s price point and wearability)!
What’s your favorite vanilla perfume? Have you tried Un Bois Vanille?
