Nothing, just living life! LOL. In all seriousness, I have felt unsure about what to do with my blog for quite awhile now! I’m still not sure, but I am planning to just do me over here on this blog. Sometimes I may be posting about beauty, sometimes about fashion, and sometimes about mom life. Sometimes, it may just be me rambling!
If you are reading this, then thanks for opening up that notification to see what I posted. Thanks for sticking around! I can’t wait to get back to interacting with you all on this level! I hope that you end up liking the new content that I have coming up!
Physician’s Formula recently added a new foundation to their lineup, The Healthy Foundation. I was excited to try this out because I saw a few reviews from women of color. If you know anything about Physician’s Formula, then I’m sure you know that all of their complexion products are usually on the paler side. As far as I know, this is the first foundation that they have come out with that would fit my skin tone or darker. I tried this out in the shade DN3 (dark neutral 3) because that seemed to be the closest to my skin tone when I saw it in store. I decided to film my first few days of wearing this, so make sure to check out the video below. I also wanted to give you the basic pros & cons of this foundation here on the blog just in case you don’t have time to watch the video.
It’s Favorites time! I love sharing my favorite products with you every month and this month was no exception. Check out my video below to see all the beauty and randomness that I’ve been using and abusing over the last month or so! Also, be sure that you are subscribed to me on YouTube because I don’t always post my videos here on the blog. Plus, I always have good information and links in my description box for my videos. Enjoy!
Today’s video, My Five Minute Face, is one that I have wanted to share with you all for awhile. This is for all of you who just want a simple, everyday, 5 minute makeup routine to make you feel put together and pretty. This is the makeup that I turn to when I’m running late for work, or just not wanting to spend much time on my face, but I want to look like I tried! As a bonus, in this video I also showed you one way that I tie my head wraps. Hope you enjoy and be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel and my blog!
Do you have a 5 Minute Face? What steps are most important for you?
If you saw my last video on my YouTube channel, you will know that I shared my favorite beauty products from 2017. Every year, I like to share the standout products from the previous year. I think it helps to give you all an idea of what products I really fell in love with and formed a long term relationship with (as opposed to a fling). You may have noticed that I didn’t include any fragrances in that video and that was on purpose. There was no way that I could only pick 1 fragrance for the entire year!
Anybody who knows me knows that I love my perfumes! So in this post I will share with you my 5 favorite perfumes for 2017. These are listed in no particular order, as I love them all!
I know I may be a little late to the party, but I had to get this video done to share my favorite beauty products for 2017. These are all of the items that really impressed me last year so the video is quite long! Grab a snack and a drink and revisit my 2017 beauty faves with me!
If you have been following my blog for awhile, you probably know that I am a huge NARS fan. I have seemed to have a lot of luck when it comes to the products that they put out. Recently they released a new foundation, the Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation. I decided to test it out for you all so take a look at the video below if you’re interested.
As I’m writing this, it is the last day of 2017. For me 2017 was a rollercoaster, having many (many!) ups and downs. Among other things, I was blessed this year with the birth of my daughter, Chloe. But, I have to admit that I experienced the roughest periods of my life as well. That’s why I’m excited to be closing out 2017 and starting anew in 2018. I have faith that this year will be a year of bigger and better things for my family. 2017 taught me to appreciate all that I have been blessed with and really helped me to realize what really matters in life. I learned some hard lessons this year, but overall, I think that it has made me stronger.
With that being said, I am ready for 2018! I can’t wait to see the blessings that God has for my family! I feel like He was just getting us ready to be able to receive the abundance of blessings that are for us in 2018. I plan on making this upcoming year a great one and I hope you do too! Remember that our circumstances may be tough at times, but those tough times help shape us into who we are supposed to be.
Thanks for continuing to support me not only on this blog, but on all my social media channels (YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook). I may not have a large following, but I love that you all that have been around for years are still here and always have a kind word! Thank you for that. I know it may sound cliche, but you never know what someone may be going through, so kind words may be just what they need in that moment.
Here’s to an amazing 2018 for all of us! Happy New Year!
If you have been following my blog for awhile, you may remember that I am a redbook online magazine contributor. Recently they sent me a few products to test out and I want to share what I think of them with you today! This post is sponsored by redbook, but as always, all opinions are my own. If you are interested, keep reading!
I know it may seem like brown girls don’t need bronzer, but I am here to tell you that we do! I’m using “need” loosely, but I personally feel like bronzers really help complete any look. If you wear foundation (especially medium to full coverage), bronzers help add that dimension and warmth back to your face so that it doesn’t look like you are wearing a mask. If you want to the bronzers that have been in heavy rotation for the past few months, keep reading!
