Denim handbags are coming in hot for this spring & summer! I have loved this trend over the past couple of years, but this year, I finally caved and gave into it. This year, I’m happy to see that there are more affordable versions. Keep reading to see all the beautiful denim bags I’ve found and which one I ended up purchasing!

  1. Tory Burch Fleming Mini Crescent Shoulder Bag This one is super cute to me! I love the chunky silver chain and the shape of this bag.
  2. Bottega Veneta Small Cassette Cross-Body Bucket Bag This brand is very expensive, but compared to some of their other bags, this is relatively affordable. This can be worn crossbody and seems like it would fit all my essentials.
  3. MKP Quilted Crossbody Small Shoulder Bag This has been in my Amazon cart for ages. I think it’s cute and very Chanel-esque.
  4. Marc Jacobs Deconstructed Denim St. Marc. I think this is a really interesting shape that is classy, but made edgy with all the different types of denim.
  5. Coach Quilted Denim Tabby. This is the hot bag right now! The one pictured is in the size 26 (basically the medium), but it is also available in a smaller size. This has been selling out like crazy, but it has been being restocked.
  6. Marc Jacobs Crystal Denim St. Marc. I love the shape of this bag. This denim is dressed up with crystals all over it. It’s definitely a denim bag that could go from day to night.
  7. Target Denim Sophie Crossbody Bag. This bag is definitely giving Bottega vibes at a tiny fraction of the price. I like this one, but I think it would have looked better if they used different shades of denim.
  8. Denim Chain Bag. This is another very Chanel-esque bag, but I love the look of this. This one features frayed edges to make the chevron pattern.
  9. Tory Burch Small Denim Fleming. The Fleming is a classic Tory Burch shape, but this one is remixed with denim and silver hardware.
  10. Jacquemus Le Bambimou Denim Bag This bag is currently on major sale! I love the color and size of this one.
  11. Chanel Quilted Denim Mini Pearl Crush Bag I could never spend this much money on a denim handbag, but it is an absolute beauty!
  12. Woven Shoulder Bag. If you are more of a tote bag type of girl, this one is great for an easy relaxed look. Also, it’s not very expensive!
  13. Tory Burch Mini Denim Soft Fleming Chain Tote. I love the look of this mini tote and the color of the denim. It also comes with a crossbody strap.
  14. Kurt Geiger Large Denim Kensington Bag. I love the different shades of denim they used in this bag. Although it is a large bag, I think the denim makes it pretty casual and probably lightweight.
  15. Kurt Geiger Mini Denim Kensington Bag. This is the mini version of the previous bag for the small bag girlies!
  16. YSL Small Denim Puffer Bag. This is the denim bag that I fell in love with a few years ago in the toy size. I have a small YSL Loulou Puffer in leather, but this denim version is sooooo good. I can’t bring myself to pay this much for a denim bag, but I love it nevertheless.

Which bag do you think I picked up? Click here to find out!

If you watch a lot of YouTube, you may have seen this topic going around. For those of us that love to shop, physically writing down a list of things that you will not purchase, may be helpful for your accountability. I’m definitely in that “love to shop” group, so I thought I would share my list with you!

  1. I’m not buying any extremely cheap jewelry for one time use. I have been on a jewelry kick for the last 6 months or so, and over that time I have purchased some investment pieces. I’ve really enjoyed building my fine jewelry collection. I have also purchased some costume jewelry, but I have been pretty selective with that because I know that I have a tendency to buy things because they are “cheap”, but then I never wear them. At my big old age of 40, I’m pretty much done with that. There is nothing wrong with inexpensive jewelry, I just am being very mindful with those purchases. I also like the idea of having jewelry that will last the test of time that I can eventually give to my daughter or future daughter-in-law.
  2. I’m not buying any more large tote bags! I love a good tote bag and they definitely serve a purpose in my life. They are great for travel and if I need to carry a lot of things with me. However, I think I’ve reached a point in my bag collection, that I have tote bags for any reason that I could find. I’m not the person who loves to carry a large tote day-to-day, so realistically I probably don’t need more than 2 (and I have way more than that)!
  3. I’m not buying cheap shoes. Now I know this one may be controversial, but hear me out. It’s really not about the price of the shoes, because I love a good deal. It’s more so about the quality and in this case, “cheap” means low quality, not low-price. I have been that girl to purchase $7 sandals and then wonder why my feet are killing me. I’ve found this to be even more true with closed toe shoes such as boots and pumps. I’m no longer in the business of sacrificing my feet just to save a few bucks! This also goes for shoes that don’t feel comfortable when I try them on!
  4. I’m done buying eyeshadow palettes. If you saw my makeup stash, you would think I wore eyeshadow everyday. In all actuality, I only wear eyeshadow around once a week. At this point, I think I have every single color that I could ever possibly want. Eyeshadow palettes are always so tempting to me, but enough is enough!
  5. I’m not buying any SLG’s. If you are a person who consumes a lot of luxury content on the internet, you know what an SLG is. For those of you who don’t, an SLG stands for Small Leather Good. This basically applies to wallets, key holders, card cases, pouches, etc. I personally love having a variety of these sorts of things, but I don’t need anymore. I have probably over 5 card cases, 2 or 3 wallets, and pouches of every size. These little items bring me joy when I open my bag and see them (especially in bright pops of color), but I have enough. I’m not saying I will never buy any of these again, but I won’t in 2024!

Now, I know I didn’t touch on fragrance in this post, but I do have some fragrance resolutions. Would you like to see those? If so, in what format, text or short form video?

Until next time…

One thing about me, I’m always shopping. That doesn’t mean I’m always buying, but I love to peruse the internet in search of the best items and then share them with you all. Check out the items that caught my eye this week.

  1. Denim is everywhere right now and I cam across these denim sandals that I absolutely love. I think they are a classic enough style that has that touch of something different with the denim. I also like the chunky heel.
  2. I love a good jumpsuit moment and this one is really pretty. This could easily be dressed up with heels or dressed down with flats or sneakers. It also looks really flow and comfortable.
  3. Crochet is another trend this season and I love this little brightly colored crochet bag. Although it’s crochet, it is reinforced with a leather interior so nobody can see inside the bag and your items are well protected inside.
  4. Pink coupe glasses with gold rims, need I say more? Not only are they beautiful, the price is amazing. I’ll be buying these right after I finish this post!
  5. This little gadget is now on my wishlist. It is an insert that you can use with your toaster to make melty sandwiches. It supposedly gets the perfect crispness on the bread while melting the cheese in the middle. Do I need it? No. Do I want it? Absolutely!
  6. It’s no secret that I love the YSL LouLou Puffer bag. This one is the most perfect bright, happy, green! I can’t buy it right now, so I’m hoping one of you all do so I can stop stalking it.
  7. These cute sandals came up on an Instagram ad for me and now I can’t get them out of my mind. I love the bubblegum pink color and they look so plush and comfortable.

It’s been a few weeks, so I wanted to share some more items with you that recently caught my eye. I am a true shopper, so I’m always looking around on the internet at things. I’m not always buying, but I love sharing some of the pretties that I find here. I hope you love these posts too!

  1. Metallic silver accessories are currently having a moment, and I personally think a pair of metallic silver slides would work well in my wardrobe. I already own this sandal in gold, but I think the silver may be in my future as well! Side note–as I was looking for links for this post, I came across this pair too, that is much more affordable and I love them. My only hesitation is that they are not real leather. Decisions, decisions!
  2. This chunky stone lariat necklace is way out of my comfort zone, but I love it. It keeps going in and out of my cart, because I’m not sure I would actually wear it. Definitely a statement piece! This one, from the same brand, is probably more my speed!
  3. Apparantly, I’m really into bedazzled items right now, because I am also loving these slides! I love the multicolor because it’s fun, but the bronze pair is really pretty too!
  4. I know boot season is pretty much over, but I love these. They are currently on sale and I am really contemplating picking up a pair for next Fall/Winter.
  5. Talk about an attention grabbing dress! I love the way they did the zebra print on this dress and it is part of their line that helps to smooth and hold things in place! I also really like the length and the split in the back!
  6. I came across this body oil in an Instagram ad, and it may or may not be on its way to me. Reviews say that is is really moisturizing and smells amazing. I also think the price is pretty good on it!
  7. This is the lipstick that Rihanna wore during her Super Bowl performance and so of course it has gone viral now. I think I need it. It appears to go on super matte and velvety looking, but is not drying. Based on the reviews, this is more like a regular creamy lipstick as opposed to a transfer proof liquid lipstick.

If you followed my original blog (Simple Beauty Blog), then you may remember that I used to always share the beautiful things that caught my eye over the past week or so. I want to continue that here on the new blog, so welcome to the very first post of this series! Keep reading to see why these items stood out to me!

  1. These Fendi sunglasses are so chic! The light tortoise shell frame with the square cat eye shape just works. The lens also has a cutout that I don’t ever think I’ve seen on a pair of sunglasses. It all just works so well together!
  2. Fendi again! Can you tell I’m on a Fendi kick right now?!?! I actually saw these earrings on a Youtube video and now I can’t get them out of my head. They are firmly on my wishlist!
  3. This set of lippies is such a good price. Not to mention it is in one of my favorite shades from NARS (Dragon Girl). I’m super close to ordering this because my current lip pencil is old and I think this is the perfect time for me to restock!
  4. This bag is breathtaking! This came up on my Instagram feed because Instagram just knows how to tempt me! It features gold lame encased in acrylic with a gorgeous thick rope chain. I’m not sure how heavy this bag is, but I definitely will be on the lookout to see if I can view it in person! It is a work of art!
  5. I know I’m not a kid, but I will always love hearts! These earrings manage to combine playful hearts with a sophisticated size and look. These would be perfect for Valentine’s Day. Somebody convince me that I don’t need them!
  6. I’m a pink girl through & through and these pajamas speak to me. I already have a few pairs of these premium satin pajamas in other prints, and this print may be next on my list! The quality is definitely apparent on these pajamas–they feel so soft and silky!
  7. I love the fun print on this satin blazer! Unfortunately at the time I saw this blazer, they didn’t have my size available, but I wanted to share it here in case any of you love it too! I’m hoping they restock additional sizes soon!

I am a self confessed luxury lover, but I’m also someone who is always looking for the best deal. Preloved luxury goods are luxury goods that have been owned by someone else. My first preloved luxury purchase was about 7 years ago and over that time I’ve learned some tips that I wanted to share with you.

My most recent preloved purchase!
  1. The first and most important tip is to buy from a reputable site/seller. This is the most important tip because it decreases the chance that you will end up buying a fake. Transparency moment, I have purchased a fake before (accidentally) and both times it was from a personal seller (like eBay and Mercari). Thankfully, I was able to get my money back, but I would have rather not had that happen in the first place. Now I typically only purchase preloved goods from Fashionphile (a large luxury resale site that is partnered with Neiman Marcus). Other resale sites include Rebag, Yoogi’s Closet, and The Real Real, but to be completely honest, Fashionphile is the only one that I recommend.
  2. If you do decide to purchase from personal seller sites like eBay, Poshmark, or Mercari. Make sure you have your item authenticated. Poshmark & Mercari have their own authentication services, but I would advise you to get the item authenticated yourself by a third party site. I have used Real Authentication multiple times and have always had good experiences. I even used their documentation to help me get my money back from my credit card when I was scammed.
  3. Look for deals! Just because something is preloved, doesn’t mean it will be priced well. In fact, a lot of  preloved items are sold at the same price as a brand new item from the retailer. As a rule of thumb, I never purchase something preloved that costs more than the retail price. Fashionphile discounts their items after they have been on the site for awhile and sometimes they even do a 10% or 15% off selected sale items.
  4. Pay attention to the condition of the item that you are interested in. I typically go for items in excellent or new condition, but I pay close attention to the flaws that the item has. You have to have the mindset that if you buy a preloved item, it is not new (in most cases) and will have something “wrong” with it that you have to determine if you want to accept. For instance, a tiny interior scratch on the inside of a bag is no problem for me, but a pen mark definitely is a problem for me.
  5. Don’t buy something just because it is a good deal. If you are a sale shopper like me, then I’m sure that you have purchased something at a great price, only to later discover that you never used the item. For this reason, I typically keep a list (mentally or physically) of luxury goods that I want and I try to stick to that list. Of course, I veer off the list, but I really try to think through my purchases to make sure that I’m buying items that I really want as opposed to buying them because the deal is great.

Buying preloved luxury can be a fun experience and can save you some money. Not to mention, sometimes you can find that discontinued item that you have always wanted. Hopefully these tips are helpful if you are looking to try it!

If you want to know more about this little cutie!
