Fragrance Friday #21| Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Coconut Fizz EDT

Isn’t she lovely? Isn’t she wonderful? Raise your hand if you know that song! The bottles in the Guerlain Aqua Allegoria range are so beautiful! They are elegant and timeless and look so good displayed on a vanity. Coconut Fizz is no exception! Now let’s get to the beautiful blue juice inside!

Top: coconut, nectar, bergamot

Mid: water notes, freesia

Base: sandalwood, tonka bean

Coconut water is what I immediately think of when I smell Coconut Fizz. This fragrance is creamy, but refreshing! The fragrance opens with a bit of citrus (bergamot), that gives that slight bit of fizziness to the creamy coconut. As it dries down, I can definitely notice more of the sandalwood, less of the bergamot, and the coconut stays around the whole time. I personally think that coconut in fragrance can be questionable, because there are times when it smells really cheap and synthetic. The coconut in Coconut Fizz smells very natural, which makes this fragrance smell very high quality.

When it comes to longevity, Coconut Fizz is not the longest lasting, but it lasts pretty well in comparison to some of the other fragrances in the Aqua Allegoria line. On me, the fragrance lasts about 5-6 hours. It projects pretty decently for the first 3-4 hours, after that, it turns into a skin scent. I find that spraying this on the clothes really helps with the projection.

Overall, I would highly recommend Coconut Fizz! I’ve really enjoyed wearing it during the warmer months and I think it is perfect for really hot days. Something about it just makes me feel so relaxed when I take a whiff of it.

Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Coconut Fizz retails for $130 for 4.2oz and can be purchased here or here.

Are you into coconut fragrances? If so, what is your favorite one?

  1. Hope you’ve been well, Ayesha! I always enjoy your Fragrance Fridays. This sounds like the epitome of a summer fragrance! Coconut is tricky for me because of its heavy associations with suntan lotion/sunscreen. If not done well, it can come off really corny in fragrances. I’m intrigued by the bergamot “fizz” in here, though. I’ve been dying to try the Aqua Allegoria line, but it’s hard to sample anything in person these days in quarantine. Stay safe out there!

    1. Thank you! Yes, unfortunately I’ve had to blind buy all of my Aqua Allegoria scents. I really think you would like this! It smells really natural and it at all like sunscreen! I hope you and your family stay safe as well!
