Atelier Colognes is a niche fragrance house that prides itself on making clean, fresh, cologne type scents that have the performance of a perfume. This review will focus on one of their most popular offerings, Vanille Insensee.
Top: coriander, lime, citron
Mid: vetiver, jasmine, oakmoss
Base: vanille, oak, amber
There are so many vanilla fragrances on the market, but I have to say, this one is so very different from any other vanilla that I have smelled! To my nose, this smells like vanilla with salt, lime, and a touch of woods. I know this may sound strange, but it comes together so beautifully.
Instead of being a heavy vanilla, Vanille Insensee feels very refreshing, uplifting, and clean. The woody base helps to round this fragrance out so that it is not too light or too feminine. I definitely think this is a unisex fragrance.
I tend to wear this fragrance only during the daytime and mostly during the warmer months, but I do think it would work well year round.
I find Vanille Insensee to project well. People around you will smell it and when I’m wearing it I smell it almost all day. It lasts on me at least 6 hours before turning into a skin scent.
Overall, I’m throughly pleased with this fragrance. So much so, that this is my second purchase of it (that doesn’t happen very often for me)!
Atelier Colognes Vanille Insensee retails for $80 for a 1 ounce bottle and can be purchased here.
