With every thing going on right now, I’ve been spending a lot of time at home lately. With that being said, I’ve been wearing fragrances that give me a little comfort! The one that I’ll be reviewing today is Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Cafe.
Comptoir Sud Pacifique is known for their lightweight gourmand fragrances. By “lightweight”, I mean that they are gourmands that can typically be worn year round, not too heavy for warmer weather. Vanille Cafe definitely falls into that category, but it may be a little heavy in the hottest days of the summer.
This fragrance opens with coffee extract and green almond. The heart is composed of benzoin siam and the base consists of cedar, vanilla absolute, and white musk.
On me, this fragrance smells like a spicier version of a vanilla latte. It is absolutely divine! If you are a coffee lover, or just love the smell of coffee, I think this one is definitely worth a smell! The coffee is definitely there throughout the life of the fragrance, but the sweetness of the vanilla really rounds this fragrance out. Also, this smells the same from the time I spray it until it is gone.
On my skin this fragrance lasts around 7-8 hours and the projection is moderate. While I’m wearing it, I can easily smell it the entire time, but it is not the type of fragrance to announce your arrival into a room.
Overall, I really enjoy Vanilla Cafe! I’ve worn it a couple of times this week at home and it has been quite comforting! It makes me feel warm and cuddly!
Comptoir Sud Pacifique retails for $42 for a 1 ounce bottle and can be purchased HERE.
