So far 2015 has been the year of the brow and the year of the liquid lipstick. It seems that every makeup brand has been coming out or improving upon these products in their line. NYX is no exception, they recently released quite a few brow products. I was interested in trying their brow pencil and brow pomade. Keep reading to find out if these products were a hit or miss!
I purchased both the NYX Micro Brow Pencil and the NYX Tame & Frame in the shade Brunette. The pencil is a thin tipped automatic pencil with a spoolie on the end. It is thin enough to give hair-like strokes and I really like the spoolie that it comes with. However the product is a little stiff so if you are accustomed to using softer brow pencils (like MAC, Milani, or even Anastasia), this one may take some getting used to.
The Tame & Frame is a tinted brow pomade that feels very similar to a drier gel eyeliner. It is not as wet or mousse-like as the Anastasia Dip Brow (my favorite brow product), but it works in the same way. This product claims to be waterproof and I tend to agree. I’ve never been caught in the rain with this one, but it does last all day on me.
Both of the NYX Brow Products are a HIT for me, but I must mention that they are not as good as the Anastasia counterparts (that these are obviously fashioned after). I do think that they are well worth the price and will definitely recommend them and continue to use them!
Have you tried the NYX Micro Brow or Tame & Frame? What are your thoughts?
