One of the items that I was most excited about picking up during the most recent Sephora VIB Sale (click here to see that haul) was the new Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Palette. Swatches for this palette are starting to pop up online, but I haven’t seen many on my skin tone yet, so I wanted to share those with you. I can’t give a review on these yet since I haven’t used them, but the swatches seem pretty promising. By the way, if you’re wondering why I haven’t used this palette yet it is because I recently gave birth to my first child! Since then, I haven’t really worn any makeup, but I swatched this prior to giving birth so I didn’t want the swatches to be in vain.
This palette is broken up into 3 sections of 4 shadows each. Each quad is separated by the undertone of the shadows. The 3 quads are Neutral, Cool, and Warm. In each quad, the large shade at the top is the Base and the bottom 3 are the Contour, Define, & Highlight shades. Included with the palette is a guide that gives this information and shows 2 different looks that may be achieved using each of the quads.
So far, I’m most excited about the Warm quad, but I think almost all of the shades will work for me. Hopefully I will be sharing this in a favorites video soon! If not, I’ll be sure to update you once I get around to using it enough to give my thoughts on it.
Is the Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Palette one that you will be picking up? If you already have it, what are your thoughts on it?
