I was supposed to do this post months ago, but never really got around to it, sorry! Anyway, today I will be updating you on two foundations that I tried over the last few months; YSL Youth Liberator Foundation and Guerlain Lingerie de Peau. I did first impression videos on both of these products (check them out below if you haven’t seen them yet), so I wanted to come back and let you know how I feel about these foundations now! Keep reading for my thoughts!
YSL Youth Liberator Serum Foundation in B70
Just like in my video, I still absolutely love the finish I get with this foundation. I find that it gives me that youthful looking skin that we all want. Although the coverage looks like skin, it still covers relatively well. The downside of this foundation is that it is very hydrating so it can get a little oily on me throughout the day. Because of that, I tend to mainly wear this foundation when my skin feels extra dry or on days when I know I will have time to check on my skin and blot if necessary. I don’t usually wear this foundation to work. Overall, I really like this foundation, but for me it is not an everyday type of foundation.
Guerlain Lingerie de Peau Foundation in 24
I found this foundation to be a little disappointing. It looks nice from afar, but tends to accentuate dryness on my face that I never even knew was there. Recently, I’ve noticed that it makes my forehead look almost scaly like snake skin. I’ve tried using this foundation with and without primer, with the same results. I do think this foundation looks better throughout the day than when first applied. I still wear it every now and then and sometimes it looks good, but it is too unpredictable for me. It’s not a horrible foundation, but it may be better suited for someone with oilier skin who wants a somewhat dewy foundation.
Have you tried YSL Youth Liberator or Guerlain Lingerie de Peau? What do you think of them?
