As of late, I have been hooked on foundations. One of the latest additions to my collection is the Guerlain Lingerie De Peau foundation. I decided to document my first time wearing this foundation below. Keep reading for my initial thoughts and first impression video below.
As you can probably tell by now, I like doing first impression videos. I think it is interesting to see someone’s initial reaction to a product and see how that may or may not change throughout the day. I realize that a first impression does not constitute a full review so that’s why I always try to provide an update on the foundation at a later time. I decided that going forward, I will do these updates via blog post just to keep it more organized. I also will start incorporating basic information along with my first impressions video, so that those of you who don’t like watching videos can still get my initial thoughts on the product. I think this will be helpful as more of a reference for people who do like to watch the videos. Let me know what you think about the new format!
Anyway, on to the first impression!
I purchased the Guerlain Lingerie de Peau foundation from Modnique for $22, but normally this foundation retails for $59. I am using the shade 24 Dore Moyen.
- skin like finish
- decent shade range (12 shades total)
- luxurious packaging with a pump
- contains SPF 20
- doesn’t require setting with a powder (for me)
- blends easily
- slightly accentuates dry patches
- all the shades are not easily accessible
As an overall first impression, I like Lingerie de Peau, but I don’t think it is worth the $59 price tag.
Have you tried any Guerlain products? What do you recommend from the brand?
