Isn’t she lovely? I recently caved in and purchased my first Laura Mercier product and it is absolutely a thing of beauty! Spellbound is a limited edition face illuminator recently released by Laura Mercier. For pictures and thoughts, keep reading!
I admit it, the main reason I wanted to purchase this product is because it is so nice to look it. It reminds me of satin sheets! I definitely didn’t need anymore highlighting products, but I kept wanting this for over a month so I finally decided to get it. This highlighting powder is a pretty golden shade that has rose undertones. I wouldn’t classify it as a rose gold because it is definitely more gold. I think it is a shade that would work well on any skintone.
The texture of this product is one of the nicest I have felt. It is so soft to the touch that it almost feels creamy. It blends very easily on the skin to provide a subtle highlight, but the color can be built up.
Pictures don’t really show all the dimension of this highlighter, but hopefully you can tell that I was not able to find an exact dupe for Spellbound. The closest in my collection is MAC Whisper of Gilt, however Spellbound has that rosy undertone that I really like.
Overall, I’m happy with Laura Mercier Spellbound. It is rather expensive, but the texture, tone, and presentation of it make it worth the money to me.
Have you tried any Laura Mercier products? What do you recommend from the line?
