NARS Soulshine Blush Palette

NARS recently released 2 blush palettes that are limited edition and exclusive to Sephora, Realm of the Senses and Soulshine. I loved the look of both, but decided to only purchase one since they are pretty similar. I ended up purchasing Soulshine, the darker of the two.

Look at that beauty! It comes with 3 different blush shades that can be used alone or mixed together. The NARS name is etched across in a gold overlay that will eventually rub off. This is one of those products that I almost didn’t want to use because I didn’t want to mess up the way it looked.

The 3 shades in this palette are described as a “peachy pink with gold shimmer; a sheer golden apricot; and a soft rose tone with golden shimmer.” This palette is shimmery, so if you don’t like those types of blushes, this isn’t for you. Fortunately, NARS does shimmer in a sophisticated way, so this doesn’t look like you have glitter on your face. It looks more like a sheen and does not emphasize my pores. I tend to wear all three shades mixed together as opposed to individually.

Like all the NARS blushes I’ve tried, this lasts on my skin 8+ hours with no fading. It is highly pigmented, so you don’t need to use a lot of product. One thing that is different about Soulshine is that it is softer than other NARS blushes. Because of that, if you swirl your brush around in the product, you will get some powder to fly up.

Overall, this palette is a great buy if you are into shimmery blushes and you have some money to spend. It retails for $41 and contains 12 grams of product ($3.41 per gram). Regular NARS blushes are $29 each and contain 4.8 grams ($6.04 per gram). I really like it, but it is not a must buy in my opinion.

Will you be purchasing Soulshine or Realm of the Senses?
